Carol McKibben, President

A proven leader with a keen eye for the big picture, Carol has 30 years experience as a manager of people, products and services. She has had successful careers in publishing, advertising/marketing/PR, education and business ownership.

As President and co-founder of McKibben Communications® from 1991 until it was sold in 2001, she guided the broadcast communications company from start-up to one of the Inc 500’s Fastest Growing Independently-Owned Companies for three consecutive years. A committed producer, she was Vice President/Publisher for a decade at Los Angeles-based Miramar Communications, where she implemented new profit centers and developed Special Events magazine and a companion exposition/conference, taking them from zero to multimillion-dollar properties.

With years of experience as a freelance writer, editor, marketer and teacher of creative writing and mass communications, Carol has a knack for getting to the heart of concepts in a direct and intuitive manner. She holds a BA in English and Journalism, an MA in Teaching and a Publishers’ Certificate from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Journalism.
